My work in video stems from my work in photography. Plus, it interests me.

I produce short video features on our SoundStage! V video site. These are directly related to our work on the SoundStage! Network. In time, I wish to get this kind of content onto a TV program to get broader exposure for the audio/video industry.

So far, I've produced four exercise-related DVDs that sell worldwide through an online store I run called StarPowerMultimedia.com. Two of them are in relation to a many name Vince Gironda. For 50 years, Vince ran Vince's Gym in North Hollywood, California. He was a pioneer the areas of weight training and nutrition and produced some of the finest physique stars the world has ever seen. In fact, when Arnold Schwarzenegger first came to the United States, he trained at Vince's Gym. I actually got to train at Vince's in the mid-'80s -- an experience I remember as vividly today as if I was just there yesterday.

Vince, though, wasn't just a trainer for bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts. Given the proximinty of his small gym to the major film studios, he was the original "trainer of the stars." People like Clint Eastwood, Carl Weathers, Sylvester Stallone, Robert Blake, Erik Estrada, even Cher and countless others, had at one time or another trained in his gym.

My first two videos detail his unique training methods. The second video starts to talk about Vince a little more and his rather "unique" personality -- Vince was a brilliant man, but with a rather cantankerious personality: I have a videotaped interview with John Balik who was there when Vince first met Arnold and called him a "fat f*&k." Vince regularly threw people out of his gym if he disliked the way he trained. When I first met him, he greeted me with: "What do you want?"

Vince was a character who touched many and that's why he was the subject of my first two training videos: The Vince Gironda Exercises: Vol. 1 and The Vince Gironda Exercises (and More!): Vol. 2. In time, I want to make a feature film about this man who had an influence, likely positive and negative, on many people's lives.

My other two fitness-related videos involve Mindi O'Brien, Canada's top-ranked professional fitness competitor. That video is called All About Mindi 1 and not only shows Mindi trains, but reveals a very charasmatic side of her personality. The other video is called Building a Beautiful Body #1, with Natalie Waples. I am currently developing the second installment for this series and hope to one day get broader exposure for Natalie and this video series on TV. I believe the content that it contains is applicable to any women who wants to get into better shape.

Those are the things that I have worked on or am currently working on. In the longer term, I wish to make feature films. I have two documentaries planned: one is on the life of Vince Gironda and the other involves the competitive aspirations of the people I work with in the health-and-fitness industry. All these people have unique stories to tell that will entertain and inspire. Content for these is being assembled right now.
