When I started creating
publications, I realized the immense amount of talent I had to bring in to make it work.
Likewise, as this talent came on board, I also realized that many of these people had the
potential to reach out to large audiences themselves. Therefore, I started to manage their
careers and publicize their achievements. Now, publicity is one of the things I do
for other people and organizations. The
people I handle publicity for are those I met in the health-and-fitness industry. One is Natalie
Waples, who I coached and did publicity for from the middle of 2005 until early
2010. Natalie enjoyed competing in amateur modeling events until she turned her talents to
competitive figure. In the three years that we worked on her competitive figure career,
she went from being a novice to being Canada's top amateur champion and now competes in
the IFBB as a pro. She's been featured in numerous print magazines, including Oxygen,
Inside Fitness, and MuscleMag. At the
time, Natalie was sponsored by Interactive Nutrition and various other companies.
Another person I worked with is Chantal Dicaire,
a five-time national fitness champion who is also now an IFBB professional-level
competitor. Chantal has a distinctive style -- a European modeling look with some muscles
-- and is now one of the most recognized faces of fitness in Canada. Chantal has also been
featured in numerous publications and, as well, exercise videos. She's a very
popular part of the The Vince Gironda Exercises video series that I created that
is explained in the "Film & Video" section of
this site.
One way I publicize these people
as well as others is through my other projects that fall under "Photography" and
"Film & Video." Karen Fanas and I also operate a site called TheStarPowerStudio.com that showcases these
people and other personalities. It's something we'll continue to work on more and
more with up-and-coming athletes and celebrities.
The publicity I generate isn't reserved only for
individuals, I'm the media liaison and chief photographer for the Ontario Physique Association,
Canada's largest physique organization. It has more than 1000 people involved and
sanctions more events than any other organization in Canada.
I enjoy working with people and I'm thrilled when
they become famous. In the future, this is an aspect of my business that I plan
to focus on even more. Do you need publicity? Or perhaps you know someone else who does.
Feel free to contact me to discuss.

I shot this picture right after Chantal Dicaire won her IFBB
Pro Card at the 2008 CBBF Canadian Fitness Championships. I coached Chantal through five
national-level fitness wins and publicized her career throughout. I'll continue to work
with her during her professional career.
